A trailblazer in Austin’s locavore movement, she’s made her mark with iconic establishments like Eastside Showroom, Hillside Farmacy, and Eden East. Now, in Bastrop, Texas—just 30 miles east of Austin—Sonya and her husband David, cultivate a vibrant 5-acre farm, only a mile from Store House Market & Eatery. Their seasonal harvest brings the true essence of farm-to-table dining straight to your plate.
David Barrow, Owner & Farm Manager
After nearly two decades of storytelling in filmmaking, David has shifted his focus to something even more grounded—growing hyper-seasonal produce at Eden East Farm. What began as an empty lot has evolved into a vibrant ecosystem, driven by his dedication to preserving green space and fostering sustainability.
David believes in caring for the land responsibly, providing nutritious, locally-grown food for the restaurant and the wider community. He also shares his passion for growing food, encouraging others to connect with the land and helping build a sense of community that reaches beyond Bastrop, all rooted in the principles of sustainability and healthy living.
Erika Aviles, Front of House Captain
Erika is a seasoned professional in the service industry, celebrated for her commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. With a creative eye and attention to detail, she adds a personal touch to every interaction, elevating the dining experience. Her passion for building lasting, meaningful relationships with both guests and colleagues ensures that everyone feels welcomed and valued in a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Wesley Stewart, General Manager
A proud Bastrop native, Wesley brings passion, dedication, and a playful spirit to his role as General Manager. With a deep love for people, food, and community, he creates a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel like family. Wesley is committed to showcasing locally sourced ingredients in every dish and drink, curating seasonal menus that celebrate the region’s bounty.
Beyond the restaurant, Wesley explores global food cultures, always seeking new inspiration to elevate the Store House experience. His attention to detail and passion for hospitality ensure every visit is memorable. When he's not at the restaurant, you’ll find him on the baseball field as a dedicated member of Austin's Town Lake Nightcrawlers—bringing that same energy and love for the game to his work.
Dan Freeman, Chef de Cuisine
Daniel Freeman, a graduate of Texas State Technical College's culinary program, brings a passion for simple, farm-fresh ingredients to every dish he creates. His commitment to quality and flavor is evident in every plate, driven by his belief that great meals start with the finest ingredients.
When not in the kitchen, Daniel enjoys spending time at home with his wife, whether they’re cooking together or savoring moments with their family. For Daniel, food is more than a profession—it’s a way to bring joy and connection to those around him.
